The second album from Old Country Death finds the band working as a trio: Dave Bruchmann (Adam Lee Band, The Gnomes) on electric bass, Ryan Land (Harmed Brothers) on the kit and Gordo on guitar and vocals. Although the rockabilly flavors are still intact, this collection of tunes takes on a more aggressive surf-rock sound. Instrumental burners like “Caveman” and “Danzig’s Bowtie” are stacked next to country tunes (“King Of The Road”) and mountain dirges (“10,152”, “Heel On The Shovel”) written by former OCD git-fiddler Chicken Dinner. All in all, this album steps up the rock and swaggers with drunken bravado, swinging at the fences with a lead pipe.
